The elephant care camp at Siray Bay opened in 2022 with a mission to bring a unique slice of Thailand’s culture to Siray Bay, understanding how the mahouts coexist with their elephants for life, and raising awareness to bring understanding and insight for tourists visiting Phuket.
The care camp provides guests with captivating elephant experiences. Help to prepare the elephants daily meals and feed them their favorite fruits and fiber, learn each elephants unique individual story and how they came to be rescued. Stroll alongside them as they stride through the mountainside Jungle down to the sea for a bath, brush, scrub, and a splash session on the care camps private beach, as you create heartwarming moments with every splash.
You will also learn a new skill, how to make a traditional Thai meal called “Pad Thai” a famous dish in Thailand that goes back generations, and is a staple of every Thai household.
If you take an afternoon program, you can say goodbye to the elephants and watch them leave for the mountainside jungle, as the elephants of Elephant Care Camp Siray Bay are free roaming, and have the entire mountainside to freely graze, and forage for natural foliage, and in the morning, they wait patiently at the camps gates waiting for the days quests to arrive.

Physical Examination (P.E.) of an elephant
Feeding the elephants.
Roughly 45 minutes playing with them along the seashore and beach.

The Sea, feed and shower program offers a close encounter with our beloved rescued elephants, The program includes feeding, playing with them along the seashore on our private beach, which has a view out to sea and the surrounding islands, a unique feature exclusive to Phuket province, this is where you will bathe them, then it's time to rinse off the salt water and get freshened up under our elephant sized elephant shower in clean crisp mountain water with a 360-degree panoramic view of Siray Bay.
